AWARD MILLINERY DESIGN
Duchess of Cambridge Collection
Kate Middleton sets the style for the most fashionable hats and headpieces, and her preferred styles of late are crowns, halos and headband hats. First worn at Prince Louis christening and ever since, these formal but easy hats
are elegant but not fussy. They attach with a headband so fit all, and they look lovely on women and girls of all ages.
Top British milliners sell them for many hundreds and even thousands of dollars. I've shown a few of their prices in my photo section. But my philosophy is to make fashion forward millinery that's beautifully handmade, at a price that enables almost everyone to acquire a wonderful hat at a reasonable price. My prices here are wholesale to the public, as fine shops
purchase them and double the price to their customers. And I donate part of each sale to animal rights organizations.
Made in my millinery studio in the Hollywood Hills.
My hats have been featured in British Vogue, Brides and Victoria magazines, commissioned by Disney and other studios, and been worn at the Royal Weddings, Royal Ascot, Buckingham Palace Garden Party, Kentucky Derby and Melbourne Cup.
This type of hat takes several days to make. It has to be dyed, dried, blocked with several layers, stiffener applied and dried. The wire is hand sewn all around to keep it's shape, Then all the edges are sewn by hand as well as the trim. It takes longer to make these hats than a wide brim hat and the hand sewing is more detailed.
