Welcome to my millinery studio in the Hollywood Hills. I've worked as a photographer and make-up artist for fashion magazines in London, Paris and New York, but I have always been fascinated by whimsical hats. Now I have become a milliner and am designing a small number of original hats for special people.

Yes, hats provide warmth in winter and protection from the sun. But what I love most about hats is that they can be completely and utterly frivolous! Hats may be magical as well. Actors use them to transform into different characters. And a hat that is right for you will lift your spirit and make you smile.

I steam and shape all my hats on antique wooden hat blocks and every one is made by hand. My designs often include vintage flowers or trim to make each hat individual. The spring and summer hats are made with exceptionally fine quality straw. And my felt hats for autumn and winter are made with 100% wool felt. I never use inferior synthetic blends or fur felt, which comes from slaughtered rabbits. And only faux fur is used as trim. I am an advocate for cruelty free products and I donate part of the profit from the sale of my hats to animal rights organizations.

2010 SPRING & SUMMER COLLECTION

Perhaps because I lived in England for many years, one of my favorite genres is a play on the mad hatter's hat. I was not able to find antique wood hat blocks in that shape so I made my own. I kept the fun of the quirky shape but interpreted it with simplicity into a fresh, lighthearted collection that can be worn almost anywhere.
I hope you enjoy it.
